Óscar
Gárate
Director
Óscar Gárate is Director of the Economic Regulation practice at Aninat Abogados. He has advised domestic and foreign companies on antitrust, regulated industries, consumer law, compliance, economic regulation and complex litigation before the FNE (Fiscalía Nacional Económica), the TDLC (Tribunal de Defensa de la Libre Competencia), the Supreme Court, arbitration tribunals and sector-specific authorities. He previously worked as a senior associate at Isabel Díaz y Asociados.
He is a professor of Economic Regulation, Economics and Law, and Economic Law at Universidad Diego Portales. He is the author of numerous publications on Economic Law, Procedural Law, Antitrust and Economic Regulation. He is a member of the World Compliance Association, the Asociación Chilena de Ética y Compliance (Chilean Ethics and Compliance Association) and the Sociedad Chilena de Políticas Públicas (Chilean Public Policy Society). In 2024, he was appointed a member of the Tribunal de Ética (Ethics Tribunal) of the Colegio de Abogados de Chile A.G. for the 2024–2028 term.
