He suggested taking screenshots throughout the purchasing process, warning that if a platform does not allow screenshots, that could be a red flag. He also advised keeping proof of purchase.
Warning About Different Prices on Cyber Day
Del Villar stated that “Cyber Day behaves differently depending on your browsing history cookies,” meaning offers don’t always work the same way for every consumer.
He explained that this is due to browsing history, cookies and the use of artificial intelligence, all of which generate personalized experiences.
To avoid this, the lawyer advised browsing in incognito mode to avoid overly personalized experiences and reduce exposure to targeted offers. He added that this practice can also be useful when comparing prices for trips or other products sensitive to price fluctuations.

The former Sernac director stated that although complaints have declined compared to the first Cyber Day events in the country, he warned that risks related to fraud and non-compliance persist.
