The Fiscalía Nacional Económica (FNE) announced the start of a new market study on medications in Chile, with its final report expected in May 2027.

The FNE aims to analyze competition conditions across all sales channels, given indications of insufficient competition persisting in the pharmaceutical market. The study will assess the continued relevance of its 2020 recommendations and gather information on how segments such as patent-protected drugs and biosimilars are functioning.
